As an emerging young jewellery designer, Amanda Dowd desired an identity that reflected both herself and her product. She defined colour, form and all things exotic as inspiration for her brand image. The objective with the website was to project a seamless look and feel from her printed collateral.
The website was designed to perform 2 roles, to showcase her wares and to work as a selling tool to individuals and retail. It expresses a clean look so not to complicate the text and image, and has a content managed section so Amanda can regularly update information.
This site is proof there can be a successful marriage between aesthetics and functionality. It combines a Flash animation which is restricted to a frame, and the remainder of the site is HTML for efficient search engine optimisation.
